A new Creative Swap - Let’s make Art Squares!
All are welcome to join. You do not need to be an ‘artist’– because art is for everyone. Even a small amount of art each day or week can lift your spirits. I hope you will join me.
What is an Art Swap?
The hostess of an art swap chooses an item for the participants to make and mail to her – and there is a deadline for all items to be received. The hostess “swaps” one of what you’ve made with one that another participant has made. Then all of the swapped items are mailed back to the participants. International mail is welcome!
What will we make?
For this swap we will be making small squares, 3x3 inches (7.62 x 7.62 cm).
The base for all squares, no matter what technique you choose, needs to be sturdy - watercolor paper or mixed media paper. You can choose to make 3, 6 or 9 squares for our art swap. If you send me 3, you will receive 3 different squares in return, made by 3 different participants. If you send me 6, you’ll be mailed 6 in return, send 9 and you’ll receive 9! The amount you make is totally your choice and you do not need to tell me in advance how many squares you will make .
You can collage, paint, use fabric, draw, doodle - whatever you like, even a mix of techniques.
