Shades of the Forest Quilties - Sue Lee, South Dakota

Sue's Forest Quilties just arrived the other day. I like the way Sue has quilted part of the top of her quiltie and stitched her handmade tag the same way.
Sue enclosed a note,
"This was another fun quiltie swap, I'm finding I really enjoy making them. A friend gave me permission to use some of her photos, so that's where I started. I also used Batik fabric with leaves, charms and artificial leaves. Thank you for hosting this swap, I know there is a lot of work involved. It is such a treat to see what everyone does. Thanks, Sue"

More sunshine . . . .

I have received extra quilties from 2 generous participants; Joellyn Quinn and Sue Lee. They are trading one for one with Fiona, whose quilties were hung up in the mailstream from Scotland and did not get here in time for the swap. Thank you both so much! I know Fiona will be so pleased. Here is Sue Lee's extra sunshine quiltie . . . . so vibrant and beautiful!

I have sent Sue Lee one of Fiona's quilties already (Sue's arrived the other day) and I will be sending one to Joellyn on Monday : ) After Barbara's & Joanie's quilties for Fiona reach me, I will send them each one, and then package up Fiona's quitie trades and send them to her, yay! I am so grateful for the volunteers so we could include Fiona in the swap, thank you!

Shades of Sunshine Quilties: Sue Lee ~ South Dakota

Sue Lee, from South Dakota, has sent in 9 wonderfully vibrant Sunshine Quilties for our swap in September. That means Sue will receive 2 sets of quilties in return and there is an extra one for me -wow, thanks!

Sue writes, "When I saw the Beach Beauties, I knew I was going to use them (Alpha Stamps). I also used Oliver Twist Fibers, hand dyed cheese cloth and a few other things in my sewing room. I was having so much fun I decided to make a simple ATC (tag) for the information. Thanks for organizing the swap!"

Shades of Spring/Brown + Blue Quilties: Sue Lee

From Sue Lee in Sioux Falls, SD we have 5 really interesting brown & blue quilties! As you read along, if you are wondering why you see so many quiltie posts in a row . . . all quilties are due here on the 19th of July so everyone is scrambling to get them sent in on time. I am expecting about a dozen more before Saturday!

Altered by Design ATC swap: Sue Lee!

From Sue Lee in South Dakota we have received 5 ATCs for the swap and an extra for carol and me, thank you! Sue used some very interesting 'Altered by Design' collage sheet images from Digital Divas 2 as well as Angels in Blue Ice. Sue wrote and told me she has made fabric ATCs before and she does quilting, but never stitched paper on any before -this was a first! I think your ATCs came out wonderfully, Sue and I would not have known that if you had not told me . . . .
