Sabine Busch: By the Sea ATC swap

From Sabine Busch in Germany, we have 3 'Treasures From The Ocean' that are delightful! This is Sabine's 9th swap with me since 2010 and we are lucky to have her participate. Sabine enclosed a note & said she had a fantastic afternoon with her rubber stamps (and a friend). I can tell! Sabine made 2 extras for me, one on the theme & one special one illustrating where she lives. Remember extras are not necessary! I do appreciate them very much, but the important thing is to get your 3 or 6 ATCs done!

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Sabine Busch

Sabine Busch's envelope came in the other day, thank you for your patience, Sabine! It only took 1 week for it to get here from Germany and I am convinced it is because how she packaged it . . . Having been out of hosting for a while,  I am learning from her, the best way how to do this. To start with, she used a plain business size envelope. She put her ATCs is see-through sleeves, but she taped 3 ATCs in a row together with washi tape, which is easily removed. She had 2 rows of three ATCs that nicely fit flatly into the envelope! Let me show you.

Below I am showing you both "rows" of ATCs held in place 

with the washi tape so they don't move around in the envelope.

One row is lifted up to show you the washi tape on the back of the 2nd row!

This is just a helpful idea to save space, postage and time.

The simple flat envelopes will get to me quicker than padded ones. 

 Sabine included a postcard for me to that was a delight to receive
& also protected the ATCs.

Please do not delay, especially if you are overseas . . . April 23rd is the last day I can receive for this swap. I found 3 more sets of ATCs this afternoon from Marion Bockelmann, Cynthia Jones & Barbara DeLisle in my mailbox, yeeha! I will scan them & upload them soon - tomorrow is a pretty busy day for me so if I don't get to them tomorrow, I will aim for accomplishing that on Friday!

Sabine Busch - July ATC swap: color my world

I had a big smile on my face when I pulled Sabine Busch's envelope out of my lonely mailbox today. She had written me an email to let me know her ATCs were on the way, so I was anticipating this arrival, whoo-hoo!

Sabine created a beautiful flat card for me that says "follow your dreams"- see it above. It's already placed it on the wall above my desk, i love it so! Sabine was able to send her 3 ATCs easily and inexpensively in a business size envelope by first tucking them into one 3 card section of a trading card pocket page. This protects them and makes them easy to send in a regular letter (not too thick). Sabine also tucked in a return address label, which is so helpful to me when I send your swaps back. Thank you!

Tag Book Swap: Sabine Busch, Germany

Sabine's tags arrived today from Germany after traveling for 8 days to reach me. Hallelujah! All I can think of to say is how absolutely beautiful they are. Visit Sabine's blog here -click on the scan for more detail.

I showed them to my husband who said, wow, very nice . . . and then he asks, what are these for? I told him and he said - How are you going to put these together???  : ) I said, the tags sent in will all go out to other participants. I will layer complimentary ones together, add a cover and "bind" the tags into a book through the holes on the tags with ribbon or yarn or . . . . well, we'll see!  I am so looking forward to making these treasures up for you! We have 21 participants and 8 tags (or 9 if you want one of your own in the mix) are due in my hands by June 12th. Today, Sabine Busch registered for the Tag Book Swap. Later she emailed me to let me know her tags were already done and she is sending them off on Friday -such great news. I think Sabine's tags are fantastic; they have wonderful quotes, great colours and even interesting shapes! You can view them here on her blog: Stempletanz -which translates to Stamp Dance (Sabine is from Germany). I hope that translation is correct, Sabine! I always feel very fortunate to have international participants in my swaps and I try to make it easy for them to participate. I'll add one of Sabine's tags below and when they arrive, I will scan them all and add them here on the creative swaps blog.

ATC Swap: Love gone wild set #1: Sabine Busch, Germany

All the way from Germany, the first set of 4 ATCs have arrived for our Love Gone Wild swap from Sabine Busch. They are absolutely gorgeous, see for yourself!

Sabine wrote me that she had mostly traded ATCs in German groups so far, but her sister Marion had persuaded her to join the ARTchix Yahoo group and helped her to create a blog - see Sabines' blog here.
