Sharon Borsavage - Prayer flag swap!

From Sharon Borsavage, my dear online art friend in Pennsylvania, we have 4 beautiful and artfully put together prayer flags. Sharon wrote a note and enclosed it with her flags:

I made my prayer flags with religious images I put on fabric by running muslin through my printer with freezer paper on the back to stabilize. I then sewed the images on using various stitch patterns  and free form stitching. (I love this!) I attached vintages laces in a collage style with my sewing machine and hand stitched on vintage buttons. I attached a vintage medal to each one. Whatever your belief, faith is part of it. Thank you, Sharon - so lovely!

The photos here on the creative swaps blog are of each entire flag, but Sharon has some delicious close ups on her blog. She is also a gifted jewelry maker and art journalist so go check her out!

Sharon also spoiled me with a marvelous mail art envelope!

Sharon Borsavage: bead swap!!

Oh! I was so excited when my friend Sharon Borsavage signed up for the bead swap! She is a maker of beautiful jewelry, which can be seen here -ooh la la! I must admit I have bought several pieces of Sharon's jewelry as it really speaks to me. That being said, I could not wait to see what she might do for the paper and fabric bead swap. I was not disappointed! click for details.

Sharon enclosed a "surprise" she said, a beautiful gift of earrings and a note.
Wow!
This is what you can do with these beads!
(I am wearing them right now)
They are beautiful, so beautiful!! Thank you ever-so-much, Sharon. xoxo

Sharon Borsavage: Alpha Stamps garden variety swap

My very talented friend Sharon Borsavage signed up for the Alpha Stamps garden variety postcard swap, much to my delight! There is something about the postcards and ATCs she created that literally pull me in closer. I think it is her great design and that she really puts feeling into what she creates. Take a look yourself and see what you think. These first two postcards are probably my favorite of all she made -click for more detail.

I love the ribbon, button, beads . . . sharon's jewelry expertise sneaking in!

This postcard is also amazing!

One to trade . . .
and one ATC for ME!! (from the seed packet sheets)
Sharon: thank you, even though you have been so busy, for taking part in our garden variety swap. It would not be the same without your beauty and inspiration! Have a great vacation!! Check out Sharon's blog: Livewire Jewelry, where you can read more about creating these delicious pieces.
