You can view her beautifully stitched & collaged previous swap pieces here. Siri sent in 2 sets of 3 ATCs, plus 1 extra for me, made with fabric and attached to cardstock. They are wonderful!

Siri Hauge Opdal: Stitchie Swap!

From Siri, in Norway! Siri started participating in Creative Swaps back in 2010. She has steadily joined my swaps through the years, lucky for us! This will be her 11th creative swap! In the sidebar of the blog there is a section called "Art by Participants". You can take a peek at all of Siri's swap art by clicking on her name - or here's a direct link. Of course, you can look at anyone's swap art -even yours, by looking in that section. If you are using a small device, a phone or a tablet -view the sidebar by touching the 3 green parallel lines on the top right when you are on the main page. - Now, on to Siri's stitchies! She sent in 3 orange-red, beautifully beaded stitchies for the swap and a lovely stitched thank you card.

I almost like the back as much as the front, as I can see what she did via her thread!

I remembered I had seen Siri's fabric art in Quilting Arts magazine and went to look it up. I found her piece called Silk and Buttons in a Reader's Challenge called "Favorite Things", February/March 2015 issue, page 49! Many Congrats, Siri!

Thank you all, for your own special talents that you are contributing to this creative swap. I am thrilled with the entries! We are up to 19 participants and I will keep registration open until 1/27 -a week from Monday, if you or someone you know is still on the fence. I will finish my last stitchie soon so all 3 will be done. Besides mine, I am only waiting for 11 now, to be here by Feb 1st!! ;O)

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Siri Hauge Opdal

These ATCs, made out of fabric with paper backs, come to us from Siri Opdal in Norway!

They are as blue as the ocean - with fish too!

There is sheer fabric hand & machine stitching and beading . . .

There are fish everywhere!! Love it.

Here's what the backs look like, below . . . and also an extra special sewn
Twinchie -sized fabric piece that Siri made just for me! :o)

TA-DA!

This is Siri's TENTH Creative Swap! She started with me back in 2010,
and I am always so happy to have her participate all the way from Norway!
What a joy. Thank you, Siri!

Siri Opdal - Inspiration Collage

Siri's collages have been delivered all the way from Norway, happy dance!
She used both fabric & paper, so much fun.

The little tiny scrap of green and brown fabric with the pink flowers I stamped a long time ago (and put in her collage bag) showed up in this collage! That and the other delicous placement of other things had me smiling.

I like Siri's philosophy!

What fun, a pocket filled with some images :)

And I so appreciate your stitched fabric card and a few extra collage goodies for me. Thanks so much, Siri. Really happy to have you participating in your 9th swap with me! ☀

Siri Hauge Opdal - August ATCs: I Am

From Norway, I have received Siri's 6th creative swap, whoo hoo!
You can view all Siri's swap art via this link. She always includes fabric in her pieces which I really love. These "I am" ATCs sent from Norway are no exception!

These are the backs . . . I adore Siri's statement:
  I am creating.
She says, " they turned out all blue, as much of the stuff i make do,
because it is my favorite color."

Siri's says her ATCs are made of "scraps of silk, wool and beads, and the backs
are pieces of a fabric i painted at a class some time ago."
Beautiful, I'd say! Click on the photos for details.

I think Siri made these ATC pockets because the sides are stitched in blue thread . . .

Thank you so much Siri for all your delightful contributions!

Siri Opdal: Technique Tag Swap!

phew! The movers are coming tomorrow. We have been quite busy packing up here and moving a lot of things over to the new place ourselves. I will be glad to have everything over there in one place tomorrow. In the meantime though, I have received 2 packages for our technique swap. All of the packages I have received are already safely tucked into one of the cupboards in the studio at my new home, never fear. Packing & moving certainly is tedious. When I needed a break from that work, I sat down and scanned the new swaps that came in. All the way from Norway, Siri Hauge Opdal has sent us some lovely techniques that include fabric. I adore her tags!

Thank you so much for participating, Siri. I love when you say to me in a note you feel you have to do something with fabric for our exchanges. I always look forward to seeing your swap work, and what you have dreamed up. So Lovely! Thank you.
