Janice was so kind . . . She made me an extra piece of hand dyed silk as a hostess gift, thanks so much Janice. I don't think you will mind if I use it in my fabric art!

Hi Lenna - I loved doing these. Hand dyed my fabrics to catch the shades of the forest. Our pine forests always seem to reflect a purple light to me even on bright days. I do like dyeing! Enjoy this dyed silk, Janice.

Janice did a lot of hand stitching and I simply love the bright sunshine colors she used. Thanks so much for the piece of silk too . . . not necessary, but much appreciated! I already used up the other pieces you gave me to add to ATCs I made -thank you, Janice!

Shades of Spring/ Brown + Blue Quilties: Janice Perkin

On 3 of the 4 quilties Janice has created a pocket & added something to it -I love this idea, especially since she used a couple of beautiful images of artwork to tuck inside.

Janice utilized fabric stamping, beading, hand sewing & used a variety of fabrics, ribbons & textures. She also slipped a beautiful embroidered handkercheif in the package for me... Thank you, Janice! It's sure to turn up in my fabric art!!

From Warrington, UK we have a package from Janice Perkin. She included some lovely hand dyed embroidery thread for me, thanks so much! Janice sent in 6 ATCs, so I will have an extra ATC to give to Carol Murphy, who designed the image sheets we are using for this Angel-Fairy-Diva swap! White Quilties! Janice Perkin

These quilties are all a little bit different from each other. Very nicely stitched, with lace, buttons & trims added too. Also, Janice so kindly added some beautiful silk scraps to her package as a hostess gift for me : ) which I can't wait to use!


I love how Janice added her info to each quiltie. She created a pocket from a bit of a crocheted piece, then snuck a tag inside the pocket; a great idea! Thanks so much, Janice.
