Linda Kunsman -prayer flag swap!!!

Even though my friend Linda was quite busy this summer and had already signed up for another prayer flag swap, she also signed up for mine!! Lucky for us that she did because Linda has contributed some wonderful, bright flags with one of my favorite quotes /sayings.

Linda has created four prayer flags, one as a gift for me that I will really enjoy! Remember three flags are required for the swap and you will receive 3 in return. Extra flags as a gift are always appreciated, but not required!

I like the way Linda made her flags. She measured her fabric longer than 10 or 11" (8" plus extra for the sleeve). I think her piece of fabric must have been about 16" long. Then she simply folded it in half and the fabric hanging over on the back acts like a lining to cover any stitching on the front. Great idea.

Everything came in a bright and beautiful mail art envelope.
Thanks so much, Linda!

You can read more about her flags on this post on her blog:
heARTfully inspired. Definitely a blog to bookmark!

#25.Linda Kunsman -Little Book Swap!

From my online friend of many years, Linda K in Pennsylvania, we have 5 single signature tag books -4 for the swap and one as a gift for me. ; ^ ) They came in a beautiful envelope . . .
And look like this -
Linda told me they are all made from large white shipping tags
and basically use the same quotes, images, stamps & inks.
I opened one, mine -to share with you.
Linda designed the pocket page below with blank pages in the pocket so the recipient could add their own favorite quotes!
Please click on any photo for more detail.

When I got to the page below, I stopped. Linda had not told me she had used some of my LennaLines quote stamps I produced 10 years ago! It made me feel rather emotional. Even though I no longer make these stamps, here was Linda, still using them! I can't quite describe how it made me feel. I am so glad to see you still enjoy stamping with them, Linda. I do too!
 A few more, below . . . .
And the last page. I love how Linda used a printed vellum for the first and last page. It is so elegant and really finishes her little book.

When we moved to our new home here in Florida last September, Linda sent me a special housewarming gift and card. She has a knack for doing these things. When Steven and I got married in 2005 Linda made an extra piece for my Moon and Star themed Canvas swap, just for us. This swap was due soon before Steven and I got married and moon & stars was also a theme of our wedding. This canvas Linda made for us has traveled to hmmm . . . 3 or 4 homes since then and is still one of my very favorite pieces of art. Here it is in the kitchen, walking into my studio in Florida:

the flash washed my face out a little . . .
but I think you can see why I love it so!

And here is what Linda sent when we moved to this home:
Home at last!

I have to smile ; ^  ) Thank you so much Linda
for all your kindnesses and your beautiful tag books!!!

Row House Swap: Linda Kunsman ~ Pennsylvania

Linda K from PA has sent in TWO sets of Row Houses, lucky us! Please don't worry about not including an extra one, Linda -it is perfectly ok! I understand. I am also hoping to participate in this swap (I even have some blank houses packed for our vacation) so I can trade through the swap as I like! ; ^ )
A wonderful job, as always, Linda -thanks!

Circle Book Swap - Linda Kunsman, PA

Thank you, Linda for the beautiful circle pages that you have sent in for our swap!! I love what you have created. This swap is even more fun for me than I expected because it's so great to see everyone's take on the theme -what to make for a colorful circle page. I think when this is done and we all have our swapped pages back it's going to be one awesome book!

Those of you in this circle book swap, please send to my current address as this swap is due September 7th -- before I MOVE!! If you are in one of the other swaps due later this fall, I will be sending you my new address soon. It looks like we will be doing the closing on the 2 homes on the 14th of September, and that means I will be out of here the day before (although my mail will be forwarded). The Mother Goose ATC swap is not due till October 27th and the fabric bag swap not until November 15th, so there is plenty of time!

Here are the rest of Linda's pages . . . . . so beautiful!!

I love the way she has layered the text in black and white and the quote is fantastic! Click on any picture for more detail. I think what I like best about this swap is all the pages are so different from each other, yet so complimentary! I thank you ALL for participating and look forward to getting my mail over the next few days . . I have recently heard from Nina, JoAnn, Cat, Rena, and Michelle that their pages are on the way!
