My husband really loved these and asked if we could keep the one 

with the silver turtles, below right :)

I think they are all stunning! 

Remember this is a 6 for 6 swap. You certainly do not need 

to make an extra ATC for me. I am more wishing for

everyone's ATCs to be here by April 23rd!!

Sarah Boblit: Postcard mail art swap

Sarah Boblit from Iowa has amazed me again! This is I believe, her 10th creative swap - it is hard to keep track when she has participated in so many! Sarah has done incredible beading and embroidery on her fabric postcards that have a card stock back. They are just beautiful, and I feel very blessed that Sarah made an extra postcard  for me.

Sarah Boblit - July ATCs: Colour my World

From Sarah in Iowa we have 4 ATCs, as Sarah asked me to choose one for myself -thank you! Sarah said it was hard for her to do monochromatic ATCs so she decided to do shades of copper, which is still monochromatic. I think her ATCs are beautiful, especially with the beading she did -wow!!! See for yourself.

#21.Sarah Boblit - Little BooK SWAP!

Oh my! I'll quote Valerie Tups who just commented, "this swap gets better and better - if that is possible!". That's how I feel, as I continue receiving, uploading and sharing your books! wow.

From Sarah Boblit in Iowa, USA we have 5 books, and one is destined for me, thank you! Again, it is not necessary or required, but I am grateful if you wish to. Sarah made beautifully beaded fabric covers and hand bound paper into each one. They are different sizes and the larger ones are in the 5" size range. Sarah also did some incredible embroidery; I am really marveling at her handiwork. Take a look -click on the photo for more details:

In her note to me Sarah explained that the square book contains watercolor paper and the rest the books are filled with the kind of smooth paper she uses when drawing Zentangles (yes, she is multi-talented!). This is Sarah's 8th creative swap with me, so I should know : ^ ) Sarah also said in her note that she has always wondered how to pronounce my name, Lenna -with a hard "e" or a soft "e"?? It is pronounced with a soft "e" sound like "henna". The hard "e" sound is for Lena, another name. My name is a bit unusual, but I don't mind. In fact, I like it! Lenna is a family name, as you can see in the first paragraph of this linked page.

Sarah Boblit: Vintage Note Card swap!

This is Sarah's 9th creative swap! That is a lot of creative swap work, congratulations, Sarah : ^ ). Sarah sends us 3 fabulous note cards from Iowa for the swap, plus an extra one. Sarah told me she tried something different for each note card and obviously had a lot of fun making them. Her note cards are very dimensional and layered. I enjoy seeing that. I guess I like variety and we have a lot of variety in this swap so far, yay!

Sarah Boblit: Mail Art Swap : ^ )

All of Sarah's envelopes have made their way to me in Florida so I will share them with you now. They are spectacular! Sarah created her envelopes in the Zentangle style of drawing, I just love this!

Inside! 2 tangled tags!

 These are just incredible! I have not really gotten into learning zentangle patterns, just a little bit. But I love to do it and find it so relaxing. It was Sarah who introduced me to the art form last spring with one of her 4" x 4" tiles for the Roads & Paths swap. It is delightful to see her treat her mail art envelopes this way!! Looking forward to seeing YOURS!

swap stats . . .

I received partial delivery of envelopes from Sarah Boblit and Leah Povloski today, but no complete sets to share with you. Enjoy a peek at their mail art above! I've also started creating envelopes for the swap returns; I am going to make a variety of different kinds. As they get completed I will share glimpses of them . . . as I have over 50 to make and share! 18 return envelopes are now about 1/2 way done. I love making envelopes and doing mail art, so do not worry about me. I will enjoy this! And yes, I am continuing to leave the swap open at this point. The due date (in my hands) is December 4, so that would be the only thing to keep in mind. If your pieces do not arrive in time I cannot include them.

As of today (November 12) here are this swaps stats: We have 10 international players and 44 participants from 1/2 of all the states in the US. That means we have representation from 25 states out of 50, so amazing! You can see where everyone who is participating is from on the sidebar list ; ) This makes me happy! Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for this exchange.

Sarah Boblit: Technique tag swap!

Sarah Boblit from Iowa has sent beautiful tags and techniques for our swap that are so rich in color and texture. Even though I ended up moving house in the middle of this swap, I do not regret hosting this swap one bit. I believe the technique books the participants will receive in return, with one of their own technique tags and 9 from the other participants, are going to be so awesome. I think they will really rock! I have been receiving such wonderful swap pieces already and I am really looking forward to putting them together into books. I am also glad I have extended the deadline to October 9th! Here are Sarah's wonderful techniques.

Sarah Boblit: Alpha Stamps garden variety swap!

How wonderful to pick up the mail yesterday and find Sarah’s package waiting for me! Sarah has generously sent in an extra ATC and an extra postcard for me as a hostess gift, thank you so much! I believe this is Sarah’s 4th creative swap that she has participated in. I met Sarah in 2009 when she took my online course: Mini Art Quilt Book! I always enjoy seeing Sarah’s creations as she is very creative. Sarah used the Seed Catalog ATC sheet, the Majestic Tomato sheet, the Garden Scrap sheet as well as some of the other “summer garden” papers found at Alpha Stamps. Beautiful!

Tag Book Swap: Sarah Boblit, Iowa

I love Sarah's tags, they are so different and interesting! She did use more than one color to create them so they are not as monochromatic as some, but when you look at them you see a dominate color. That is exactly what I was looking for. I want your finished tag books to be a rainbow of colors, sprinkled liberaly with words. Sarah's tags do just that, and there is so much to look at! mmmmmmm! click on any image for a lot more detail, and keep those tags coming! The due date is about 2 weeks away.
