11 new posts!

I wanted to catch up here on the creative swaps blog before relaxing and having a lovely, cozy, thankful Thanksgiving holiday with my husband Steven and my mom and dad . . . so, you will see that I have been busy! Find below, 11 new posts on our mail art swap! In fact, when you get to the bottom of the page, you'll need to click on "Older Posts" in order to see them all. We are doing really well with this swap -me with keeping up, and you with sending. The mail is coming in fast and furious! All mail art needs to reach me by one week from Saturday, December 4th. Wow! This is one of the most amazing swaps I have ever hosted . . . and I wondered if it would be popular??? sheesh!

i hope you have a wonderful holiday if you are celebrating, and if not, have a wonderful day anyway!!! See you on friday or saturday with more mail art, I am sure :  ^  )

Laura Hummel: Mail ART swap!

From Laura in Maryland, some of my favorite envelopes that I have received. I always enjoy Laura's art that I have received for my swaps, but these envelopes are over-the-top! I adore them. When Laura sent them off, she wrote to me: This swap has been so much fun! The guy at the post office was so involved, that I finally let him get involved in selecting the stamps. I mailed mine today! I have probably 20 more that I am in the process of working on...just couldn't stop. BUT today was MY deadline ( Thanksgiving is on the horizon and I am hosting) so I had to finish 4! Three are recycled envelopes that I have sewn together and altered and one is to be opened. Thanks for all your work! Happy Thanksgiving! -Laura Hummel
It just makes me happy to read notes like this! Thanks so much, Laura.

Jo Johnson: mail Art Swap!

From Jo Johnson in Indiana - 4 great stamped postcards!

Thanks for participating in another creative swap, JO!

Sue Emmerson: mail art swap!

Sue from Australia sent 4 envelopes that arrived in one week -amazing! Sue told me in an email that she wished she had more time to make 4 different mail art envelopes instead of 4 that were all the same -- but I told her not to worry! Her envelopes are fantastic! I love the maps she used and the special "Australia" pieces she added, especially "G'day mate" :  ^  ).

Thanks so much, Sue. I am so happy to have one of your envelopes!

Leslie Sowden: mail ART swap!

Leslie, from California has sent in 4 beautiful envelopes for our mail art swap. I believe Leslie is a student along with me, in Mary Green's vintage collage classes (highly recommended!). I can't say for sure, because there are always a lot of students in Mary's classes, but I would guess yes - from the papers and images she has used on her envelopes, especially the last 2 shown! Leslie has a great design sense. I love both her vintage envelopes and her more modern one.

I found Leslie's blog and a wonderful post! She has more information about how she made her envelopes here. Thanks, Leslie!
