Ocean/Sunset ATCs Christina Perritt

From Christina Perritt in MI we have 5 sunset ATCs plus 1 ATC in ocean colors. They are made with fabric/paper fronts & fabric backs with lots of embellishments - ribbons, trims, buttons & rhinestones!! Thank you for participating Christina, I am glad you and your mom Shirley made a mother-daughter project out of this swap.

Your returns will be headed to you next week!
Watch this space, I will announce it here when I send the swap returns out.

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Shirley Bentsen

Oh MY! The swap packages are really coming in now. There are just 3 more days for me to receive, but it's looking good! I've heard from almost everyone in the swap that they have sent and there are only seven envelopes that have not yet arrived. Fingers crossed! With 35 of us, that's great!

First up, we have Shirley Bentsen from Michigan. Shirley and her daughter Christina joined the swap together . . . Christina's ATCs will be uploaded for the next post. They both created some fun ATCs!

Shirley used fabric, front & back -with what I think is a stiff interfacing in the middle.
I like the pinking sheers that she used to cut out the images -they are fabric too!
I believe you really had fun participating Shirley, so great for your first creative swap.
I had forgotten you participated in the Prayer Flag swap in 2012!
Congratulations on completing your second creative swap :)
And thank you for the delicious package of goodies you sent
from you & your daughter with your ATCs ❤
Many thanks! lenna

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Paula Boyd Farrington

Oh MY! This is the last post for today, I have caught up - yay! This post will share the wonderful ATCs that Paula Farrington sent in for our swap from the Bahamas, where she lives! I am also a fan of ARTChix Studio like Paula, plus I adore Paula's art so this is a real treat for me.

We have gorgeous Sunset colors above ...
and delicious Ocean colors below :0)

A sample of the backs:

And TWO extra ATCs Paula created for me!

There is an extra treat ~ Paula wrote a detailed blog post!
She shares some process photos and how she created these beauties.

❤ Can't thank you enough Paula for your participation and the "extras" ❤

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Siri Hauge Opdal

These ATCs, made out of fabric with paper backs, come to us from Siri Opdal in Norway!

They are as blue as the ocean - with fish too!

There is sheer fabric hand & machine stitching and beading . . .

There are fish everywhere!! Love it.

Here's what the backs look like, below . . . and also an extra special sewn
Twinchie -sized fabric piece that Siri made just for me! :o)

TA-DA!

This is Siri's TENTH Creative Swap! She started with me back in 2010,
and I am always so happy to have her participate all the way from Norway!
What a joy. Thank you, Siri!

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Barbara Roberts

From Barbara Roberts in Florida, we have six mixed media Ocean Blue ATCs. Take a look!

I love that Barbara confided in me that she ended up with a set of ATCs that she did NOT set out to make! To me that says that she just jumped in and played and let her creativity take over :O)

Fun stuff and Barbara's right - this is a fun swap!

Her first one was in 2007!
So awesome. Thank you, Barbara!

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Leah Povloski

From Leah in Texas, we have received some exciting ATCs! Hot sunset colors and cooling Ocean colors with a dash of monsters, dragons & wishes!! This is Leah's 3rd swap with me, I'm so glad to have her participating again!

More creative ideas to upload -
I'm hopping to it!

LAST DAY for receiving is:
SATURDAY, April 23rd!!
You can do it!

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Jo Urbani

From my friend and partner in Mail Art - Jo Urbaniwe have 6 fishy, Ocean-y blue/green ATCs. I can't believe Jo has just moved house! I am delighted she was able to squeeze these in before she left town for her new digs! If I remember correctly, she described making them as her "art therapy" in-between packing up those last boxes. I am happy that in a week and a half or so I can send her an envelope of beautiful return ATCs to her new home. Yay!

All the added paint is great . . . I love splatters.

All the postage stamps are awesome.
I did not take a scan, but the backs of Jo's ATCs feature a title
that I believe is the name of the Fish on the postage stamp :)

Fab, Jo!!

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Lisa Mallette

Oh my! There are six envelopes of ATCs here for me to upload to the swaps blog. Thanks for your patience with me in getting this done. I'll upload a couple sets tonight and then save the rest for tomorrow morning. Near the end of the swap the packages always start tumbling in . . . forgive me if I have fewer words to accompany the artwork. Actually, the ATCs can stand on their own!

From Lisa Mallette in Florida we have a sweet set of colorful Foxes in sunset colors . . .

I just love these, Lisa. You have great style!

Lisa made an extra ATC for me - It's a different subject and totally wonderful.
Next to that ATC below is an example of the back of her ATCs.
Each fox had something different to say!!

I just discovered Lisa's blog post about creating these ATCs -Go HERE to take a look!
So fun, thank you Lisa!

Ocean/Sunset ATCs: Julie (Jewels) Welsh

My friend and "we ❤ mail art" swap partner in crime Jewels Welsh is participating in our Ocean/Sunset ATC swap. I received her ATCs today -yay! Her ATCs are a mix of both fabric and paper. I love that. Lots of texture with both and I also really like the old postage stamps she used! Jewels has reminded me to search for my box of postage stamps, a great addition to collage or ATCs.

Jewels made an extra one for me! Thank you, sweet friend.
Also check out her design for the back of her ATCs :o)

If you are participating the deadline is 2 weeks away (as of April 8th).
ALL of your ATCs need to be delivered to me on/before April 23rd.
Looking forward to receiving yours!

It is under "Creative Swap Participants Blogs". Click on your name & it will take you to you art. You can share the link to it -just copy what is in the browser window at the top!!

I'd like to start with the beautiful thank you card Margriet made for me,

I just love the backgrounds Margriet made . . .

And the sayings!
