Itty Bitty Collage swap: Darlene Kihne

Here are two sets of wonderful summer-themed Itty Bitty (3"x3") collages sent in by Darlene Kihne from Sioux Falls, SD. Click on the photos for more detail. This is Darlene's first "creative swap" and her first swap all together! It seems Darlene is friends with Sue Lee and Vickie Jones who are also from Sioux Falls and they are all in this swap or another one together : ^ ) Sounds good to me!

Darlene wrote me a note about her process: She said the backgrounds of her Itty Bittys are hand-dyed silks & cottons that she dyed herself. Darlene is a Quilter, and she said she was not used to working with paper. She also used tissue paper, wallpaper & card stock. Embellishments were . . . "everything I could get my hands on -- beads, wire, buttons, fun foam, dried flowers & leaves, lace, dyed cheesecloth & stickers, paper flowers, trims, stamps with luminarte & ink, glitter and an antique key. Did I tell you how much fun I had??."

That's so great! thanks for the extra Itty Bitty for me!
